Spring Boys prevailed over Pinto Boys Fulsabhat 3-2 via the tie-breaker to win the First Inter-ward football tournament organised by Spring Boys Moddi, at SP Moddi Ground, Moddi. Both the teams were locked in a draw at normal time. Host Spring Boys had the last laugh in the penalty shoot out. Spring Boys bagged Rs 8,000 while Fulsabhat Rs 5,000.
Fr Americo Rodrigues was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Guest of Honour former India captain Climax Lawrence, former international footballer Anthony Pereira and Fr Jose of Fr Pio Capuchin.
Other prizes were Best goalkeeper of the tournament - Myron Gomes, First Scorer of the Final - Cleton Gomes, Highest Scorer of the tournament - Richard Costa, Promising Player of the tournament - Balu of New Colony Mandopa, Best Defender of the Final - Mickey Colaco, Best Midfielder of the Final - Macklas Moraes, Man of the Match of the Final - Mobin Gomes, Player of the tournament - Ariston Costa.
