The 32nd Super Soccer football tournament in memory of late Joao Francis Fernandes organised by United Boys of Dando Colva will commence on July 13.
The winners will be awarded Rs 50,000 and the winner's trophy and the runners-up will be awarded Rs 40,000 and a trophy. The inaugural match will be played between Carmona SC and St Jose de Areal at Dando ground, Benaulim.
Other participating teams are Parish Youth Nuvem, SC Davorlim, Maina SC, Varca SC, UC Benaulim, Navelim Villagers Union, Cuncolim Union, Rossman Cruz Verna, CAC Cansaulim, USC Seraulim, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda, St Anthony Assolda, Cuncolim Union and hosts UBD Colva.
Don Bosco HSS win zone II table tennis title
PANAJI: Don Bosco HSS won the zone II table tennis title, defeating Estellar HSS Porvorim 3-2 in an exciting encounter played at indoor stadium hall on Monday. Earlier, Don Bosco defeated SS Samiti 3-1 while Estellar HSS Porvorim defeated Sharada Mandir 3-2.
