Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim trounced Air Force School 5-0 in the Under-15 Subroto Mukherjee Cup victory.
The Goa team started on attacking mode as a victory was important to keep them in the competition. Anosh Vaz broke the dead lock in the 12th minute with a powerful shot. Score was 1-0 at half time.
In the second half, Goa scored their second goal through Farhan Lathewale assist from Emmanuel Gama in the 35 minute. From there on it was a goalscoring spree for Goa. Royden Carvalho scored a hat-trick in the 41, 46, 48 minute. Full-time score was 5-0.
Goa play Chandigarh tomorrow at 8 am. It’s a must win match for Goa to qualify for the quaterfinals.
