MARGAO: United Club of Utorda emerge triumphant by defeating Patrong Sports Club 2-1 in the Third Division League match held at the SAG ground in Utorda, to emerge as champions of the 3rd Division GFA League (South Goa - Mormugao Group).
In an exciting encounter, both teams showcased impressive soccer skills. UC Utorda took the lead in the first half with a goal from Filbert Pereira.
In the second half, Patrong SC was awarded a penalty but failed to equalise, as Utorda goalkeeper Abdul Khalip made a crucial save. Aglon Abranches then extended Utorda’s lead, while Patrong SC managed to reduce the deficit later in the match.
