The Traffic Cell Department has installed direction boards at various strategic locations. These boards provide valuable guidance to travellers proceeding along the concerned routes. However when the direction boards turn illegible, they fail to serve their basic purpose. As a result, travellers and especially tourists who are unfamiliar with the place do not get a clear picture of the way along which they should proceed in order to reach the concerned destination. A lot of time is wasted getting lost or enquiring with the locals. Vehicles halt along the road thereby affecting free movement of vehicular traffic. Seen in the picture is one such illegible direction board spotted at Baithecol-Borim in Ponda. In the interest of travellers, it is necessary for the concerned authorities to provide a facelift to this illegible direction board on priority basis so that public at large secure necessary relief on a permanent basis. Let us hope that prompt favourable action would follow in public interest.
