First Miss Goa International UK pageantry in London

LONDON

The first-ever ‘Miss Goa International UK 2026’ pageantry will take place at Radisson Red, Heathrow, London, on May 31, to highlight the beauty, talent, intelligence and global achievements of women of Goan heritage living in the United Kingdom.

The event will host distinguished guests and leaders from the Goan diaspora and the wider UK community, and judges at the pageantry will be former UK minister Keith Vaz, Oorvi Desai, London-based fashion designer and official costume designer for the event, and Stanley Menino D’Costa, a filmmaker and choreographer.

Participants will compete for a range of rewards and career prospects, including prize money for the top five winners; professional management and career guidance; brand ambassador opportunities in the UK, Goa, and worldwide; features in print, digital media, and television; access to film and television opportunities; talent development and creative skill enhancement; and recognition on national and international platforms

Applicants must be aged between 18 and 32 years, must be residing in the UK, should be of Goan origin by birth or ancestry (any nationality accepted).

The founders of the ‘Miss Goa International UK’ are Vilber De Costa, (Navayah Films) a businessman who has a passion for innovative entertainment; Milroy Goés, (Moqui Pictures) a Goan film director, scriptwriter, artist, and branding expert based in Los Angeles; Jason Diniz, an event specialist with J&D Entertainment; Metroy Soares; and Shalini D’Souza.

When contacted, Vilber De Costa said the ‘Miss Goa International UK’ aims to highlight Goan talent and beauty while opening pathways into the entertainment and creative industries. 

“The pageant offers a dynamic platform for empowerment, visibility, and career development, connecting contestants to real opportunities in media, film, culture, and the arts while celebrating Goan heritage and diaspora. The platform also supports brand collaborations, film opportunities, and social initiatives through its partners,” said Vilber.

“On the grand finale of the Miss Goa International UK 2026, we will honour distinguished men and women of Goan origin from around the world who have excelled in their respective fields and made a meaningful impact within the community and in business.”

“The pageantry is open for nominations. Entries are welcome from eligible candidates connected to the global Goan diaspora. Incidentally, Milroy Goes, one of the founders of the ‘Miss Goa International UK’,  is known for the film “Welcome Millions”, which qualified for the 91st Academy Awards, and he is currently a voting member of the Emmy Awards.
