PANAJI: The students of Shree Mallikarjun and Shri Chetan Manju Desai College took part in the ‘FLAP’ (Financial Literacy Awareness Programme), a certificate course organised by NJ Group Ltd and Dr. Celso Fernandes for the Nave Marg Foundation. Over 25 days, 220 students from the college successfully completed the programme and were awarded FLAP graduate certificates.
At the award ceremony held at Kala Academy, where students attended, the college earned the Runner-up Award. The event also gave students the opportunity to learn from finance experts, including Saugata Chatterjee, Anurag Sharma, Jignesh Desai, and Balkrishna Kini.
The programme was led by Domitel D’Souza, Head of the Department of History, with coordination by Assistant Professors Shibani Pagi and Arantxa Colaco. Assistant Professors Divya Chandrekar, Ankita Dond, and Nishigandha Naik Gaonkar also assisted in guiding students through the project. Principal Dr. Sucheta Naik expressed her joy at the students’ achievement.
As part of experiential learning, the students also went on a field visit to historical sites, including Mahalsa Temple, Dona Paula, and the city of Panaji.
