MARGAO: United Sports Club of Seraulim blanked 3-0 over St Anthony's Club, Colva, in the 17th All Goa Inter-Village Seraulim Panchayat Cup Football Tournament, held at the Seraulim Panchayat Ground.
From the start, Seraulim's attacking play kept Colva's defenders on their toes. They created several goal-scoring opportunities, but on two occasions, Colva’s goalkeeper Rio Rebello made crucial saves to deny them. The first half ended in a goalless draw.
In the second half, Seraulim made tactical changes, bringing in two strikers to intensify their attack. Their efforts paid off in the 45th minute when Mohammed Sahil sprinted down the right wing and delivered a precise pass to Floscio Fernandes, who calmly tapped the ball into the net for the opening goal.
Just two minutes later, Seraulim doubled their lead when Gladston received a clever pass from Dickson Rogtao and slotted the ball home to make it 2-0. The third and final goal came in the dying minutes when Keith Rodrigues scored from close range after being set up by Gladston Braganza, sealing a 3-0 victory for Seraulim.
