Stating Goans have a unique culture of hospitality in welcoming visitors, Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes welcomed the 15-member Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) cyclists on their arrival in the State, as part of their 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Cycle Rally' to the Statue of Unity at Kevadia-Gujarat.The CISF Cycle Rally-2021 Chalo Nevadia was received by Fernandes at the Polem border checkpost in the presence of Canacona Dy Collector Udhay Prabhudessai, Mamlatdar Vimod Dalal and Loliem-Polem Sarpanch Sachin Naik.The cylists were garlanded while bouquets were presented to Dy Commandant CISF Unit MPT (G) Kuldeep Bhagat, Asst Commandant CISF Unit MPT (G) Ajayan T, Asst Commandant CISF Unit MRPL(M) LO Omvir Singh Parmar and others.The CISF personnel began the National Unity Rally from Trivandrum-Kerala on Setpember 29 to commemorate the 146th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and are expected to reach the Statue of Unity at Kevadia-Gujarat on October 26, after covering a total of 2,045 kms.
