A cancer detection camp for women has been organised by the Canacona deputy district collector’s office along with social health centre, regional agricultural department, taluka mamlatdar and Mukta Foundation’s Kishor Sarsolkar on January 17. The health camp, open for the women in Marlim, Tirwal and Nadke, will do the screenings for breast cancer, cancer treatment, eye treatment, cataract detection and screening, under the guidance of medical team from Mukta Foundation. Canacona’s deputy district collector Ramesh Gaonkar, mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar, regional agricultural officer Kirtaraj Gaonkar, health officer Dr Sneha Amonkar, former panch of Sristhal and social worker Damodar Chari and local panch members will attend the camp.
