BELAGAVI
Students at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT) in Belagavi have excelled at an international exhibition in Bangalore. The GIT team has bagged third place in the seventh edition of IMTEX FORMING 2022 organised by Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA). Over 350 exhibitors from 16 countries participated in this exhibition. The GIT team presented a project work on ‘Joining/welding of 3D printed parts to overcome the bed size limitation of smaller 3D printers’. Abhishek Salunke, Madhuram Mantri, Aarti Kalbhairav, Prachi Mangale, Omkar Desai and Shivraj Chavan presented the project. The research work was conducted by Prof Vivek Tiwary and students under the guidance of Dr Vinayak Malik and Dr Arunkumar, Prof Veena Badiger and others. Premier institutions like IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, MIT Pune were among the top competitors. KLS GIT chairman Rajendra Belgaumkar and Principal Dr J K Kittur have congratulated the students on their achievement.
