On World AIDS Day, Vedanta’s Sesa Goa Iron Ore Business (IOB) organized voluntary blood donation camps across their various operating locations at Goa and Maharashtra. 111 employees and business partners of Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore Business volunteered for blood donation and supported the noble cause. Camps were conducted in partnership with Blood banks of District Hospital, Mapusa, Goa Medical College, Bambolim and Sawantwadi Hospital, Sawantwadi at respective location, as a part of ‘Seva‘-Sesa’s employee volunteerism initiatives. Sujal Shah, CEO, Value Added Products, Vedanta Limited said, “We are glad to be a part of this endeavour and contributing our bit to the noble cause of blood donation, which is vital for saving many patients’ lives. It heartens me to see our employees and business partners coming together and helping the local blood banks to facilitate timely and effective treatment to the patients.” Dr Clare D’Mello, Medical Officer Blood Bank, Goa Medical College stated, “Such blood donation drives ensure that blood banks are well-stocked for emergencies. I commend the employees and business partners of Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore for stepping forward for the noble cause in good numbers.”
