The cultural programmes by various troupes from Lusophone countries with their apt performances evoked very good response on the first day which is underway at Orta de Garcia Garden, Panaji. The International Lusophone which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant in the presence of Minister of State for External Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi at Raj Bhavan on Sunday will showcase the rich cultural heritage by way of various cultural programmes lined up on December 5 & 6. The large Brazilain contingent will showcase its cultural ethos through a flute recital by Ivan, the talented Sambucada Band and its martial art fusion Capoiera besides other programmes.The sequence of the cultural programmes from December 5 & 6 at 7pm would be as follows: Cape Verde, Praria (Senegal EOI Dakai) Flor De Speranca; Timor-Leste (lndonesia, EOI Jakarta) - Songs and Dance; Angola - Angolan Cultural Group - songs and dance; Goa - Fusion Music - Swizel Costa and Group; Portugal , Lisbon - Guitar journey percussion Music; Equatorial Guinea Malabao - Mokom Enam Lugu - Songs and Dance and Mozambique “ Banda Kakana Band. Goa will also present its cultural heritage. On Dec 5 Goa will present Fusion Music- Mokshya Band, Naresh Madgaonkar and group and on December 6 Sonia Sirsat will present Fado, goan songs, etc.
