Ponda police have taken action against a mini casino which was being operated at Curti and taken into custody a suspect for further inquiry. Local Panch Nilkanth Naik had lodged a complaint in the police station against the mini casino. Locals had been demanding action against the mini casino since the past six months and police initiated action when the panch member registered a complaint at the police station. The suspect has allegedly started three more mini casinos elsewhere and locals have demanded action against all these illegal casinos as well. Ponda PI Tushar Lotlikar and Nitesh Kankonkar are investigating the matter.
