A total of 106 singers, musicians and music lovers from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka participated in the 13th edition of the three-day workshop ‘Riyaz Swaryadnya’ organised by Swastik-Panaji. The residential workshop, organised annually for the past 12 years is a much awaited event for those in the music field, as it offers riyaz, yoga, talks, vocal presentations and teaching joyful living, all on a single platform. Goan singer Dr Pravin Gaonkar held riyaz sessions with Omkar sadhana, kharj sadhana, gamak, mind, sargam, taan, etc. Dr Sanjay Upadhye guided a three-day session on ‘Joyful living of an artist’. Yoga trainer Dr Pankaj Sainekar conducted three-day yogasana and pranayama.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Sanjay Upadhye and Dr Anupama Kudchadkar. There were presentations on the last day. The president of Swastik, Dr Pravin Gaonkar gave vote of thanks while the Kajal Chodankar and Ashwini Abhyankar compered.
