4 rescued off beaches during squally weekend

PANAJI

Over the squally weekend, Drishti Marine personnel rescued four individuals, including an 11-year-old child, off Goa’s beaches. Four children were also reunited with their families, and two individuals received first aid. At Varca beach, an 11-year-old and his parasailing instructor were stranded, rescued by patrolling lifesavers amid strong winds.

At Calangute beach, a man was rescued from waist-deep water, while at Morjim river point and Anjuna beach, a woman and a man were saved from rip currents, respectively. Calangute beach saw three lost children reunited with their families. Additionally, first aid was administered to a man and a woman at Baga Beach.
