Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Chief Officer Arvind Bugde has been transferred and Santosh Kudalkar will now be the new chief officer.
Bugde had taken charge of MMC as the chief officer in June and had served the MMC for around five months.
"Bugde had recently been infected with Covid-19 while he was the chief officer at MMC,” said a source.
An order issued by Shashank Thakur, Under Secretary (I), Department of Personnel, on Wednesday stated that Bugde has now been transferred as a director at the Department of Handicrafts, Textile and Coir.
Santosh Kudalkar, who was secretary of Goa Rehabilitation Board, will now be the new chief officer of MMC. Sushma Kamat, Director of State Lotteries, will hold additional charge as secretary of Goa Rehabilitation Board.
