VASCO: A room was gutted in a fire along the Kharewaddo beach on Sunday night.According to sources, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electricity wires and machinery in the room was completely damaged in the incident.
Former Mormugao Municipal Council chairperson Lavina D’Souza said the fire was huge and the locals immediately began efforts to douse the fire.
A resident of the room said he had taken the room on rent and was carrying works to repair the boats.
