The Maina-Curtorim police have arrested a resident of Telaulim in connection with the alleged rape on a minor girl of 14-years at Colva.
Maina-Curtorim police station in-charge, PI Ravi Desai informed that the accused person Sticken Fernandes (24), allegedly kidnapped the 14-years old minor victim girl of the complainant lady from her lawful guardianship without her consent. He further said the accused person allegedly intoxicated the minor victim girl by giving her a colourless liquid and took her in a hotel at Colva and had sexual intercourse with her.
The accused person allegedly threatened the minor victim girl with dire consequences not to disclose the incident to anyone.
The Maina-Curtorim police has registered a case under Sec 363, 328, 376(3), 506 (ii) IPC, Sec 8(2) of Goa Children’s Act and Sec 4, 8 of POCSO Act.
The accused has been remanded to three days police custody.
