Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has promised Power department staff from Nuvem constituency to resolve their issues pertaining to regularisation of their services.
A delegation of the Power department staff from Nuvem constituency was given an audience with the Chief Minister during his visit to Majorda after it was arranged by the local Congress-turned-BJP MLA Aleixo Sequeira.
After giving the power employees a patient hearing, the Chief Minister promised to resolve their issues.
Sources informed that the Nuvem MLA is believed to have taken up cudgels for the beleaguered Power department employees, numbering around 100, hailing from Nuvem constituency.
Sources said that the regularisation of the services of the Power department employees is one of the demands put forth by Aleixo before the ruling party leadership.
