10 complaints at Mormugao
VASCO: Mormugao Police has registered five counter non-cognizable offences, three counter cases of rioting and two counter cases of molestation.
According to the police, in the non-cognizable cases, complaints have been filed against BJP and Congress supporters for threatening and pushing some women, who were at a function at Bogda and at Headland Sada.
In the rioting cases one Naresh Pilankar and Sharda Amonkar have filed counter complaints against BJP and Congress supporters for damaging property trespass and threatening.
In one complaint of molestation, one Shabana Babu Shaik (35) complained that on January 22, at around 5.30 pm near Ganpati temple Bogda, the accused persons MLA Milind Naik, Naresh Pirankar, Pratosh Prinkar and 10 to 12 others formed unlawful assembly, wrongfully restrained her and abused her with filthy language. Shabana accused Naik of outraging her modesty.
In a counter-complaint, Suman Satarkar of Headland Sada complained that one Suraj Chodankar along with others formed unlawful assembly, wrongfully restrained her and abused her with filthy language and threatened her. Suman accused Chodankar of outraging her modesty.
The police stated that they have registered offences in all the five cases.
