1,315 charged with jumping traffic signals

With as many as 1,315 motorists already being prosecuted this year for jumping traffic signals, the Goa Police has appealed to all motorists to obey the red light at traffic signals irrespective of the time of day.  
“Not doing so may cause serious accidents. Goa police has started a drive against red light jumpers. Penalty of fine and seizing of license for suspension for at least 3 months will be imposed,” stated Director General of Police Dr Muktesh Chander.  
“So far, 1315 motorists have already been prosecuted this year. We request all to make Goan roads safe for every road user,” Dr Chander added.
