3 minors held for theft at Mapusa

MAPUSA: Three minors have been arrested on charges of stealing cash and grocery items worth Rs 10,000 at Carraswado-Mapusa on Thursday.

According to complainant, Kaushal Ansari, his grocery shop was burgled on June 4, and cash and grocery items worth Rs 10,000 was stolen from his store.

Based on the complaint, Mapusa police arrested the three minors on Thursday.

According to the police, the minors were involved in many such theft cases. All the three minors were arrested and sent to Merces remand home.

MARGAO Announcing this at a press conference, the President of All Goa Bakers & Confectioners Association, Peter Fernandes, said the 'pao' will be made available in the market with two different price tags -- Rs 3 (for 30 grams) and Rs 5 (for 50 gms).
