PERNEM: The Mandrem College Anyay Nivaran Snagharsh Committee and Vikas Parishad Mandrem have decided to stage a four-day protest at Azad Maidan in Panaji from March 14, in a bid to push the government to release grants to the Mandrem college.
This was decided at a meeting of the two associations on Saturday.
Addressing the meeting, former union minister Ramakant Khalap said Goa Assembly budget session begins on March 14 and their protest would begin on the same day to grab the government's attention to the plight of the Mandrem college.
Goa Congress Vice-President Babi Bagkar, Mandrem Block Congress President Narayan Redkar, general secretary Amit Sawant, Raghoba Gawade, Ashwin Khalap, Adv Prasad Shahapurkar and others were present at the meeting.
