AAP chides use of force against GMC vendors

The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday condemned the BJP government for using force against fruit vendors outside the GMC. 

AAP leader and National Youth Vice President Cecille Rodrigues said, “Instead of working with Goenkars and assuaging their fears, the authorities have used an iron hand against them. The pandemic has hit most Goans economically and the government instead of helping them is taking coercive steps against those who are trying to earn their living.” 

She said this was same BJP that wanted to provide 10,000 jobs to Goans. How can a government that’s denying Goans the right to livelihood that too violently ever provide jobs? The Pramod Sawant dispensation in its last days is showing its true anti-Goan colour, she added.

MAPUSA Taking serious note of the alleged molestation of two minor sisters by a ward boy in the hospital lift, the North Goa District Hospital at Mapusa has submitted a report to the DHS eeking appropriate action against the accused. The hospital has also decided to install CCTV cameras in the premises to avoid such incidents in the future.
