The Adani Foundation has built a toilet block for students of Vidya Mandir School in Chicalim as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The toilet block was inaugurated on Tuesday in the presence of Headmaster Satish Chodankar, PTA President Sandeep Shetye and Business Head of Adani Mormugao Port Terminal Pvt Ltd (AMPTPL) Debashish Neogi and others, at a function in the school.
Speaking to the media, School Headmaster Satish Chodankar expressed his appreciation to the PTA and Adani Foundation for taking up the project at the school under the CSR. “The toilet block is built as per best standards and this proposal was accepted under the Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan initiative. This project will greatly benefit students,” said Chodankar
PTA Chairman Sandeep Shetye said the PTA had approached the Adani Foundation to consider the project of providing washroom facilities for the school students.
“We requested the Adani Foundation to take up the project as the previous toilet facility had become old. Adani foundation welcomed our suggestion and they have provided us the best possible washroom,” said Shetye.
