Tourism Minister Babu Azgaonkar stated this in the ongoing Assembly in a reply to a starred question by Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes.
"Proposal received as late as June 20 is being scrutinized and the time frame for beautification of the Chapoli dam will be known only after preparation of the DPR," Azgaonkar replied to Fernandes' query.
To a query on proposals to beautify Canacona beaches, the minister stated: "It is proposed to construct one toilet block with shower rooms and other amenities at Palolem beach under Swadesh Darshan-II scheme to be funded by the GOI. Additional facilities might be considered subject to the availability of land."
"The exact time cannot be stated at this stage," said the minister when asked for time frame for beaches beautification.
"Currently, there are no such proposals received by the department to beautify Goa's border entrance at Polem check post and to develop all touristic points like Bamon Buddo waterfall at Bhass in Gaondongrim and Kuskem waterfall in Cotigao in Canacona constituency," replied Azgaonkar.
