Awareness on RTI, cyber laws held
He spoke on definition of cyber crime, ATM frauds, online banking protocols, social media ransom attacks and various online lottery scams.
PANAJI: JCI MPT conducted an awareness session on Februry 14, for the citizens of Vasco on RTI and basics of cyber crimes awareness. A talk was given by RTI by Professor Ketan Govekar of RTI Forum Goa.
He spoke on importance of RTI to the citizens, ways to approach any department under the RTI. inclusions and exclusions, appeals and the orders by citizens in case of refusal or delay and how to use in day-to-day life. He was assisted by Ganpat Kuttikar.
The talk on basic of cyber crime was conducted by Jopelson Fernandes of hte Asian School of Cyber Laws.
About 75 citizens attended the session.
The executive vice president of JCI India PPPN Shankar also addressed the participants.
Yellappa Kadri from Mormugao Municipal Council was felicitated by Shankar for his service towards society for the past 38 years.
