Bandora local drowns at Collem
PONDA: A 42-year-old man from Bandora-Ponda drowned in Dudhsagar river at Collem on Sunday afternoon.
According to Collem Police, a group of nine persons had gone for a picnic at Dudhsagar river at Collem. Nitesh Naik ventured into the river for swimming, leaving his lunch on the bank of the river.
Police further informed that his friends raised an alarm after they found Nitesh missing. The body was later located and fished out of the river.
The body was sent for post-mortem and Collem Police is investigating the case.
