The BJP ST Morcha will observe the 122nd death anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda at Sanguem on June 9.
The United Tribal Association Alliance (UTAA) is also commemorating the birth anniversary of the Birsa Munda at the Ravindra bhavan, Margao on Thursday evening.
ST leader and South Goa BJP ST cell vice-president Anthony Barbosa informed the media that the 122nd death anniversary of freedom fighter Birsa Munda will be held on Thursday morning at Satrei Pissani hall, Dabal at 10 am and at the Mahalaxmi Sabagrah, Sanguem at 4 pm.
BJP ST Morcha president Prabhakar Gaonkar has urged the people to attend the functions in large numbers.
Meanwhile, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude will preside over the 122nd death anniversary of Birsa Munday organised by UTAA at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on Thursday evening.
Addressing the media, UTAA convenor Prakash Velip informed that the organization will honour a number of Tribal leaders from Salcete, including former MLAs Luis Alex Cardozo, late Anton Gaonkar, and former sarpanch John Raikar, Sebastiao Miranda, Peter Gama and others at the hands of the Minister.
