Britona local attacked with knife
SALIGAO: Porvorim Police arrested a 41-year-old resident of Halliwada-Britona on charges of assaulting a man from Britona.
According to reports, Rajesh Dhargalker (40) filed a complaint with Porvorim Police stating that the accused, Dharmendra Bhosle, allegedly assaulted him with a knife, causing bleeding injuries on his face, ear and neck near Tito, Britona, on Sunday evening.
Acting on the complaint, Porvorim Police arrested the accused within 12 hours of registration of the complaint and also recovered the weapon used in the crime by the accused.
Police have registered the offence under Section 307 of Indian Penal Code and placed the accused in lockup. Lady Police Sub Inspector Reema Naik is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
