The Children’s court has granted bail to the three accused involved in the Colvale kidnapping case.
All the three accused, Vikas Mukhia (19) originally form Bihar but presently residing in Bicholim, Naveed Paniband (19) and Tousif Killedar (18) both from Karnataka, were released on personal bail bond of Rs 15,000 each and a surety of like amount.
While releasing them on bail, the court has also directed the three accused not to leave the country without prior permission of the court and that they should report to the police station as and when required for investigation.
The accused have also been asked not to threaten or interfere with the victim and the witnesses or tamper with the evidence.
They have also been asked to appear before the court on every date of hearing.
Advocate Vinayak Porob was representing the accused in the court.
It may be recalled, Colvale Police had initially arrested two persons on May 31 and later held a third accused for allegedly kidnapping two minors and holding them hostage in a house in Hubbali in Karnataka.
Police had initially registered a case under section 363 (kidnapping) of IPC and section 8 of The Goa Children’s Act and later adduced stringent sections of POCSO Act against the accused after the victim girls revealed that they were sexually abused.
Police had rescued the minor girls from Hubbali.
