A heavy duty crane turned turtle on the Verna-Loutolim missing link at Loutolim late Tuesday night, disrupting traffic on one side of the road.
Two occupants of the ill-fated crane sustained injuries and were rushed to the South Goa district hospital.
Traffic was blocked on the road for some time, before the authorities moved in to clear the ill-fated vehicles.
Locals pointed out that the missing link, which was thrown open for traffic, only recently has witnessed a number of accidents. They claimed that the stretch of the missing link where the accident had taken place is without illumination.
