In a daring theft, a woman lost her gold chain in the Margao market area moments after she collected the chain from a jewellery shop on Wednesday morning.
It is suspected that the woman thief was keeping a track of the victim woman, since the time she came out of the jewellery shop after collecting the gold chain. For, the gold chain went missing after she headed to the market area for shopping.
The gold chain, valued around Rs 44,000 was purchased by the victim from a jewellery shop before she headed to the market for shopping.
The suspected woman thief, is believed to have followed the victim and decamped with the gold chain from the bag.
Incidentally, Margao police feigned ignorance about the theft, saying the police station has received no complaint from any quarter.
