A day after a brutal murder took place in broad daylight in Baina, Vasco police deployed forces in sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incident.
While Mormugao DySP Rajesh Kumar said Vasco police have begun combing operations, Vasco PI Kapil Nayak issued a strict warning to criminals to face consequences in case of crimes.
Speaking to reporters, Nayak said a Vasco police team led by PSI Rohan Nageshkar had carried out a Flag March in sensitive areas of Baina and Mangor.
“Vasco police has carried out a Flag March and area domination exercise and checked history sheeters and rowdies in view of murder reported on Monday. I want to issue a strict warning that the police will be very strict on heinous crimes and we will show no mercy. Criminals must be ready to face the consequences in case of a crime,” said Nayak.
“We have been patrolling since the last three months to check for history sheeters roaming and committing crimes at night. Today’s Flag March was carried out because a young person was brutally murdered by a gang of five people with choppers.”
“I had issued a warning three months ago that we will not tolerate goondagiri but small petty criminals are trying to raise their head and I want to challenge them that either they stop this now or they should be ready to face the consequences from the police,” said Nayak.
