Firefighters battle dry grass fire with branches at Moti Dongor

Margao fire brigade personnel had to fight dry grass fire at Moti Dongor with branches after the fire tender could not climb the steep slope on Monday noon.

Immediately after receiving a fire call, the Margao fire brigade turned out towards the site, but soon found the slope steep. They further realised that there’s no space around the site to take a turn for the tender to return back.

Left with no option, the fire personnel fought the fire with branches before bringing the fire under control.
