Come June and Goa will play host to delegates of G20 countries for three meetings including the one where the ‘Goa Declaration’ will be released.
The 3rd International Financial Architecture Working Group Meeting will be held from June 5 to 7 and the 4th Tourism Working Group Meeting will be held on June 19 and 20.
The meeting of Tourism Ministers will be held on June 21 and 22 after which the Ministerial communique which will be drafted at the G20 discussions of the Tourism Working Group, which will be called the ‘Goa Declaration’ will be released.
The declaration is expected to be a roadmap and action plan for tourism to achieve sustainable development goals.
The third G20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) meeting was held in Srinagar earlier this week on May 23 and 24.
According to Union Tourism Minister, G Kishan Reddy, the Srinagar meeting has outlined the path to the ‘Goa Declartion’.
After the Srinagar meeting, Kishan Reddy took to Twitter to state: “The second day of the 3rd G20 TWG meeting saw successful deliberations among member countries to outline the path ahead to the Goa Declaration.”
