Girls students feted at Bicholim
BICHOLIM: Five meritorious girl students of SSC and HSSC from Surla-Bicholim were felicitated by the Laxminarayan Devasthan, Surla-Bicholim.
The girls included Samikha Prabhu and Teja Madkaikar (SSC), Ankita Bayekar, Sushant Bhamaikar and Tulshi Madkaikar (HSSC).
They were felicitated by Sakhali Municipal Council Chairperson Dharmesh Saglani.
Devasthan secretary Mohan Bhomkar, Bhikaji Desai, Bhanudas Sonnaik and Pradeep Kolhapurkar were present.
Saglani said women should strive hard to achieve success in the field of education and should concentrate on becoming self dependent instead of relying on jobs.
Suresh Bayekar compered the function and also proposed the vote of thanks. Lottery coupons of the devasthan were also released.
