Former Goa Congress Mahila Chief Monica Dias, who had moved out of the Congress to join Vijai Sardesai-led Goa Forward party on the eve of the Assembly election, has been rewarded with a Chairmanship of the Khadi and Village Industries Board. This is the second time that Monica will preside over the affairs of the Goa Khadi and Village Industries Board. She had presided over the affairs of the Khadi Board during her stint as Goa Congress Mahila chief.
The appointment of Monica Dias as Chairperson of the Khadi and Village Industries Board implies that the Goa Forward Party has had its way in the coalition government by pocketing yet another Chairmanship of a Corporation or Board.
