ADVAITH-23, a two-day Inter-Collegiate National Fest organised by the Department of MBA, KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, was inaugurated on Monday.
In his welcome address, principal and dean MBA Prof Digambar Kulkarni said managing time, finance, branding, publicity, human resource are varied skills that one applies during conduct of fests of such nature.
He also said the event has been planned and managed by students of the institute. He emphasised on learning life skills and appealed to students to keep learning from every aspect of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Venkatesh Patil said events like ADVAITH-23 provide an opportunity for students to work on talent building, networking, polishing their team working abilities and management skills.
“Participating is more important than winning. Develop morality and core values to be successful and acknowledge the efforts taken by parents, teachers, mentors in grooming you,” Patil urged.
Governing Council Chairman Rajendra Belgaumkar advised students to learn by observation and benefit from collaborative learning.
“Management events like this provide scope to students to boost their confidence and self-esteem, besides improving their sense of ownership at work,” Belgaumkar said.
