ICAR Director, Dr Narendra Pratap Singh has assured farmers to provide full technical support and information on the latest development in the field of agriculture, horticulture and animal science sectors.
Addressing a kharif meeting for 62 farmers at Ibrampur village in Pernem, organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra of ICAR at Old Goa, Dr Singh focused on horticulture and dairy development programme.
Later, he inaugurated the vermicompost unit, visited dairy farms and azolla units.
Earlier, Ibrampur Sarpanch Chandra Shekar Khadpkar welcomed the gathering, while KVK Progamme coordinator H R C Prabhu presented a report on the work done in the village.
Subject Matter Specialist (Home Science) Suntera Talaulikar and Subject Matter Specialist (Agril. Extn) Dr V S Sakhakar also participated in the programme.
Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Sci.) Dr Sanjaykumar Udharwar compered the programme, while a progressive farmer Deepak Shridokar proposed the vote of thanks.
