After having completed the investigations into the alleged assault on FC Goa co-owner Dattaraj Salgaocar at the Indian Super League (ISL) final at Nehru stadium in Fatorda held on December 20 last year, Goa Police have filed a charge sheet against Chennayin FC skipper Elano Blumer.
Elano has been charged under section 341 (wrongful restraint), 334 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace). Sources claimed the 71-page charge sheet contains statements from 15 witnesses, some of whose identities are yet to be disclosed. The charge sheet is expected to be presented before the court.
