May Queen Ball on May 27
PANAJI: The Indian Goan expatriate community’s May Queen pageant will be held on May 27, at 7 pm, at the Civil Aviation Club, Seeb, Oman. It is being organised by ISC Goan wing.
At a pre-event press briefing at Majan Continental Hotel the ISC Goan Wing convenor Anthony Lourenco said the event is the fifth edition, and third under the Indian Social Club and would attract more than 650 people. He informed that the event will support Oman Cancer Association this year.
Present at the press briefing wer Dr Wahid Ali Al Kharusi (president of Oman Cancer Association) Antonio Goes (founder convenor ISC-Goan wing), Sydelle Esitbeiro (May Queen-2015), Islinda Nunes (co-convenor-Goan wing) and Melzer Menezes (cultural secretary).
This year the band 'Alcatrazz' will be in attendance and Updesh Swar will be the compere. Dr Martin D’Costa dance sport champion and choreographer from Goa will also be in attendance
The highlight of the pageant will be the crowning of May Queen and two runners-up.
