All Goa Fishing Boat Owners Association President Jose Philip D’Souza on Friday said no policy must be formulated without consulting stakeholders.
Speaking to reporters on the new jetty policy 2022, D’Souza demanded the authorities publish the policy in the official gazette. “Besides, they must also use social media to give wide publicity to the policy. Authorities have to translate the policy in the Official Language of Goa.”
“The 186 newly elected panchayats and gram sabhas need to discuss the policy and hence, they may need time. The current time of 15 days is too short and so, authorities must extend the time,” he said.
