According to Porvorim PI Jivba Dalvi, the police through an internet website called ‘Madam Maya’, involved in prostitution business, contacted some persons on their cell numbers available on the website to bust sex rackets and during the conversation it was informed that girls were available with them for prostitution purpose.
“The deal was fixed for two girls for Rs 36,000. Accordingly, two pimps brought two girls at Chogm road, Porvorim.
The trap was laid and on September 28, the pimps fell into the trap laid by Porvorim Police.”
“During the raid, the police rescued two girls who are natives of West Bengal and arrested the two pimps, Amritlal Chinna Rawat of UP and Sunondokishore Prafulo Giri from Orissa, both presently residing at Naikawaddo, Calangute.”
“The police also attached one Santro taxi car (GA-03-N-1144) which was used to transport the victim girls and five mobile phones,” informed Dalvi.
PI Dalvi further informed that the investigation revealed that the kingpin of the sex racket was one lady called ‘Neha’ from UP. Police also managed to identify the details of ‘Neha’ and also got her identified from the victim girls.
“The modus operandi of this racket was that after meeting prospective clients, the victim girls used to collect money as the deal fixed by ‘Neha’ and after the work was done, the victim girls had to deposit 50% of the amount collected in the bank account of ‘Neha’,” said Dalvi.
“The kingpin of the racket ‘Neha’ was never visible to the customers. The police have freezed the bank account of ‘Neha’ and search operation for ‘Neha’ is on.”
