Parsem locals demand regular issue of power bills

Residents of Parsem and Shiv Sena party workers on Wednesday demanded to issue regular electricity bills every month and a facility to make payment of the bills in the panchayat office.

The delegation visited the Pernem electricity junior engineer Subhash Parsekar and put forth their demands.

JE Subhash Parsekar said the contract of distributing electricity bills which was given to a company has expired, due to which there has been delay in issuing the bills. “From now onwards, bills will be regularly issued on monthly to basis,” he added.

“If the residents want facility to pay bills in the panchayat office, then they should give a memorandum and I will forward it to the senior officials,” informed Parsekar.

Shiv Sena leader Anand Shirgaonkar, taluka chief Laxman Othavnekar, Divakar Arolkar, Hari Parsekar, former Parsem sarpanch Sarish Nagoji and others were present.
