The Goa Police has busted another theft gang, arresting three persons accused of stealing ornaments worth around Rs 4 lakh from a residence in Curca.
According to information shared by Agassaim Police Inspector Vikram Naik, the three-member gang of Jamaluddin Ahmed (42 years old, Corlim resident), Ibrahim Mohammad Hasim, and Mohammad Gama, all hailing from Uttar Pradesh were arrested after rounding up 11 suspects during the investigation of a complaint lodged by Quiteria D’Costa.
“The entire police team put all their efforts and collected intelligence through technical surveillance...the accused confessed to have committed the crime and we have made part recovery so far,” he said.
While the trio are arrested under IPC, the remaining eight suspects are detained under 41 CrPC.
Just two days ago, the Porvorim police busted a two-member gang consisting of Goa’s National Games snooker player and another involved in second hand car dealing, while solving six cases and recovering stolen property worth Rs 17 lakh approx.
