A 32-year-old man from Ratnagiri was arrested by Panaji police for allegedly stealing a parked car from an open space near Taleigao Community Centre.
The accused is identified as Raj Suhedre, a native of Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, presently residing at Taleigao. The car stolen by him has also been recovered.
As per the complaint registered by one Larson Fernandes, he had parked the car at around 10.15 pm at the open space near Taleigao Community Centre but when he came back to collect in the afternoon on Friday, it was missing.
Police traced the car through CCTV footage leads and nabbed the thief along with the vehicle.
