Rider injured in mishap at Farmagudi

PONDA:

A 30-year-old scooter rider from Borim was injured in a road mishap at Farmagudi late Tuesday night.

According to Ponda police, Navdeep Naik was riding a scooter when the vehicle collided with a cargo truck.

Naik was injured in the mishap and was shifted to the Ponda Sub District Hospital, from where he was referred to the GMC hospital for further treatment. Ponda police has conducted a panchnama of the accident.

Foreign tobacco products seized in Margao

MARGAO:Around 127 packages of foreign cigarettes, hookah pots and hookah flavour have been seized by Department of Legal Metrology, Margao near the Margao flyover on Wednesday.The seizure was conducted as the packages did not bear the mandatory Maximum Retail Price as required under Legal Metrology Act 2009 read with Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules.
