A rider from Durgabhat-Ponda who sustained injuries in a road mishap at Kundaim on Friday evening, died while undergoing treatment on Saturday morning.
According to Ponda police, Shaunak Naik (24) had started working in the Kundai Industrial Estate since the last two months and was going home from work on Friday when his scooter skidded on oil which had spilt on the road.
Naik sustained serious head injuries and was shifted to Goa Medical College Hospital (GMC) at Bambolim. He passed away while undergoing treatment on Saturday.
Ponda police conducted the panchanama and sent the body for post-mortem. The final rites were performed at the local crematorium on Saturday evening.
